Although we do provide access to software, there is nothing for you to download.
You're probably used to having to download and install software after purchasing as historically that is how things were always done.
We wanted things to be more convenient for you and decided to use cloud computing to provide you with the ability to use our software without having to download or permanently install anything. You access our platform with a web browser and we maintain all of the software, server and security for you.
Using this model also allows us to keep our costs low, a saving we pass on to you (when compared against other similar software providers).

Whilst Food Portal is a registered UK company, the platform, with all its databases and systems, is mapped to the BRC Global Standards.
I think this is a great idea but will i be able to use it if my suppliers dont?
Yes, you will. The systems on the platform have been designed to be completely functional with or without your suppliers also using Food Portal, however as more businesses join the network, all members will get more opportunities to connect with each other.

Finally, everyone who registers here is given a FREE 30-day trial to allow them to familiarise themselves with the platform and confirm it is the right fit for them and their company. Do i need to enter my payment details to register?
No, you do not. When signing up to a free trial, our payment provider allows customers to checkout without providing payment details.
However, you will need to use the self-serve payment manager to add your payment information before your trial expires or your account will be deactivated
